Um die Wartezeit auf das nächste „reguläre“ Studioalbum zu verkürzen, veröffentlicht Fin Greenall aka Fink „Fink’s Sunday Night Blues Club, Vol. 1“ auf seinem eigenem Ninja Tune-Sublabel R’COUP’D.

Jeder Song wurde dabei in kurzer Zeit live im Berliner Greenalls Studio mit einem Vintage-Mikrofon und -Verstärker aufgenommen. Manchmal braucht es eben einfach nicht mehr.

My love of Blues has always been there, before I even knew what it was. Records by John Lee Hooker, T-Bone Walker and Chuck Berry really spoke to me. For two springs, in 2015 and 2016, I immersed myself in the blues, scouring record stores whilst on tour to inspire and educate myself … to do something raw, rough, and live, a record that just was, for its own sake.
