Clyde Stubblefield played drums for James Brown for 6 years but his legacy has lasted a lot longer than that.
His rhythms have been extensively sampled and particularly his ‚Funky Drummer‘ break helped lay the foundations of Hip Hop, and later jungle and a whole world of electronic music.
RIP Clyde Stubblefield April 18, 1943 – February 18, 2017
