This edition of #TheSoulMixtape features a tribute to some of my favorite DJ’s, namely the tastemaker that is UK DJ Giles Peterson, the US own DJ’s DJ: DJ Jazzy Jeff and the late great NY’s own David Mancuso of the Loft/Garage etc.

This volume of #TheSoulMixtape starts with Moonchild talking about what Neo Soul means to them and then taking a trip through some great examples of the genre before taking diversions into Reggae, Acid Jazz and straight up Soul territory! Greats like The Isley Brothers mix with (what were) upstarts like Bilal and Van Hunt, all the way to those Acid Jazz Funkers from the UK Driza Bone and the Brand New Heavies.
